As a human resources executive with over twenty years of experience, I have often been called upon to diagnose organization and individual behavior challenges, and to offer solutions. I have used both large national organizations as well as "boutique" firms to assist in this process.

My first experience with Gary Ranker was about 1998 in my position as Vice President - Human Resources for Sony Electronics, Inc. At that time our core HR team wasn't functioning well as a team. Many of the team members were new to Sony, were performing as experts in their functional areas, and were having difficulty adapting to the organization. Even though we were working well, we weren't functioning at our optimum level.

Gary was hired to work with our team. He systematically and sensitively evaluated the organization dynamics, conducted in-depth individual interviews and provided each team member with valuable 360 degree feedback. Individually and as a team we discussed the feedback and they helped architect practical solutions for improvement and coached along the way. Several of our key leaders (myself included) spent off-site time in intensive discussions with Gary to gain valuable insight into interpersonal behaviors and develop action plans to maximize our individual and team performance.

I learned a lot. It's hard work but it has helped me. Our team still has its bumps, but we are functioning at a much higher level than before. We are more open and more collaborative. And we've accomplished a lot more than we could have without Gary Ranker.

As a result of this success, Gary has been retained for multiple interventions across Sony. These have included more individual and team diagnoses and coaching. They have also included experience with senior managers from diverse national and functional backgrounds.
